Kailua Beach Mornings!

Lions is my favorite coffee ever.

It's Sunday morning and I've got a pot of Lion's Chocolate Macadamia Nut coffee brewing....mmm...mmm...mmm.  The smell always reminds me of our visits to Hawaii before making it our permanent home.  We'd arrive at my in-laws house, get to bed extra early because we were still on mainland time and be up the next morning at 5am.  What does one do when they are up that early?  Take a walk on beautiful Kailua Beach and watch the sunrise, of course.  Off we would go with our coffee in hand, enjoying the breathtaking view.  I wish I could describe the feeling.  There is nothing like it....the sight, sound, smell and feel...complete and utter euphoria.  One would think since we live here now we would do this all the time but I guess that's why they call it vacation...sigh.

 The photos were taken by my talented husband.   He had many hobbies in Florida, none of which fit the Hawaii lifestyle, so in 2009 his new hobby became  photography, he's pretty good if I do say so myself.  If you'd like to see more of his work (or if you're interested in hiking) go to his Not So Great Hiking Blog.  Please don't be deterred by the title..ha!
