Sunday Movie: Sex and the City II

I've decided to add Sunday Movie to my blog.  For the last year, my good friend Brenda and I have shared our thoughts and opinions on movies almost every week.  It's always a fun and sometimes hysterical time.

Because planning parties is one of my favorite things to do, this scene really stood out.  I love the colors they chose with the cupcakes in the background and the cute mother/ daughter aprons.  As for the actual scene and not just the backdrop (sometimes I wonder if I ever actually pay attention to the plot..lol),  I felt like I could totally relate to her meltdown.   I think as mothers, we have all been there, even if some of us would never admit it.

I considered getting my hair cut recently and this is the style I wanted....my husband strongly disagreed.  Seriously, I don't know what this woman does to look like a 30 something year old, but if it comes in a bottle...I WANT IT!!

This scene was hilarious to me.  I've experienced second hand the trials and tribulations of bio-identical hormones as I witnessed a friend desperately try to balance her hormones after reading The Sexy Years by Suzanne Somers.  Much like Samantha she is in her 50's, a New Yorker, very stylish and extremely health conscious.   This my friends, is what a person may do when deprived of balanced hormones...lol....but not really...it's tough to be a woman!  Natural, synthetic or bioidentical...we NEED them.

View of Samantha's kitchen.  I love the clean lines and contemporary feel.  It's a style that I've always thought I would like for my own home but with two messy kids, traditional  just seems to blend better.
