Dole Pineapple Plantation

In an attempt to keep my daughter entertained until she starts school we decided to take her to the Dole Pineapple Plantation today. It's gotten much busier since our last visit but it's still a cool place to explore and if you are visiting the island of Oahu you should definitely put it on your list of places to see while you are here.  Buy a pineapple while you are at it! It's impossible not to.

What better way to end the tour than with pineapple ice cream to beat the heat.

I am certain this was my daughter's favorite part of the day....little fashionista she is and all. She was able to handpick her oyster and then crack the shell for the pearl. Of course they try to sell you a gold or sterling silver setting afterwards which we did not purchase to her dismay. Maybe when she is a little older we will find a nice setting but I'm afraid four years old is a little too young for precious metals in my opinion.
