It's that time again! Moments that Define Life's Listable Life. This week I chose 5 Things I Love about My First Born.
1. I love that he is always thinking.
He's an innovator and inventor with an amazingly creative mind. He has a thought and plan for everything and at the ripe age of six years old has taught me a thing or two.
2. He is truly a friend to all.
I love that all of the kids in his class automatically gravitate towards him and want to learn what he has to teach and he does it with such enthusiasm. I'm constantly in awe with the way he can walk into any room and instantly make a new friend. Growing up painfully shy myself this is one of the best gifts I could have been given in a child.
3. I adore his kindheartedness.
I love that as soon as guests walk through our front door he is the first to greet them with open arms, followed by "can I get you a glass of water"..really that is what he asks.
4. His strong morals.
He has a strong sense of right and wrong, wise beyond his years. My hope is that he will pass this along to his sister. She is not quite there yet, though cute as a button a little sneaky for a four year old. I may have my hands full in those teenage years and this is where I will really count on my son to be the informant.
5. He is incredibly mindful of others feelings.
The other day he wanted his friend to play with him and the little boy was having a bad day so my son said "it's ok, whenever you feel better, I'll be right here ready to play cars with you." Melt my heart. He didn't take offense and offered a kind open invitation.
6. He is an amazing brother.
He carefully watches over his sister, overall he is very patient and teaches her everything he knows. They are best friends and I am pretty confident my daughter will always look up to her big brother.
