5 Favorite Recipes For Entertaining

Moments that Define Life's Listable Life is already on week #6.  I'm a little late in the game this week but better late than never. I chose 5 Favorite Recipes For Entertaining and I'm going to be lame and only post two. I'm far from a good cook but there are a few things I do right.  Mostly appetizers and salads.  Both of these recipes are very simple.

These two recipes were handed down to me from my old Florida neighbors.  We used to have the BEST block parties.  Everyone had their own dish they were famous for. Once we moved they were kind enough to share.  However, I've never felt like I've masted either one to perfection like they did.

1. Beer Cheese Dip

-2 pkg. of Philadelphia Cream Cheese
-2  C. Shredded Cheddar Cheese (I use sharp but you can use either)
-1 pkg. of Ranch dressing mix.
-1/2 C of the beer of your choice. Sometimes I use less sometimes more...just blend until it's the consistency you like.  Less will create more of a cheeseball.

Serve with your favorite crackers.  I normally use Triscuits and Wheat Thins. See, super easy!

2. Sausage Queso

- Jimmy Dean sausage (fry sausage in the smallest crumbles possible)
-1 can of Rotel tomatoes (drained)
-1 pkg. Philadelphia Cream Cheese
-1 can of queso dip I usually use Tostido Queso medium
Mix all of the above ingredients heat in the microwave until it's thoroughly melted about 5 minutes stirring half way through. It may take more or less depending on your microwave.

So I guess you can probably tell what my favorite ingredient is? There is an obnoxious amount of cheese in each of these recipes but who doesn't love cheese?  Right!? I believe everyone has their own variation of queso dip but this is the one that works best for me...easy!
