Today I'm participating in Moments that Define Life blogs, Listable Life series. The topic I chose is 10 Songs that Remind Me of My Youth. Make sure to head on over to link up and share all of your favorite songs from those younger years.
1. I think we're Alone Now- Um Tiffany was the coolest thing ever....when I was eleven.
2.. St. Elmos Fire- Hands down my favorite song EVER.

3. Knockin' on Heavens Door- this song didn't have any real meaning to me...until my brother entered his teens and I truly believed he was knock, knock, knocking on heavens door and since he was a big part of my youth I'm including it.
Here is the stage of my life where I thought it was cool to have hair that was entirely too big for my head...and body for that matter. I'm not afraid and yes that is a poster of Kirk Cameron on the floor. Was I getting ready to put it up or take it down? Doesn't matter, doesn't matter, I loved Kirk and I'm not afraid to admit it. I wanted to include this picture since I'm holding a cassette tape...it dates me a bit...as if the hair didn't.
4. Poison by Alice Cooper- I think it's obvious I was a hair band kinda girl
5. My Bestfriends Girlfriend- My BFF and I would rock on to this song as we were driving around town with our big hair, fold and rolled jeans with swatch watches galore looking oh so cool.
6. Smells Like Teen Spirit- I was anything but popular but there was a time I tried to juggle two boyfriends (who consequently were popular). This song always reminds me of that epic fail. Not because of the lyrics per se but the fact that it was playing when it all unfolded. This girl ended up with no boyfriends after that fiasco...lol...well lol now...was not so funny then.

*Important Life Lesson*
My short lived country stage....there is a reason why I refuse to listen to this depressing music.
7. The Dance- it was the first boyfriend/girlfriend designated relationship song. The first and only boyfriend that ever broke my heart. Thank God for unanswered prayers is right, Garth!!
8. Macarena- It was the song that played in every bar across America. Do you remember doing the Macarena?
9. Biggie Smalls- My boyfriend (now husband) had a pimped out Neon with a kickin' stereo. My aunt would say she could hear us coming. We were so awesome. ;)

I sang From This Moment to an old boyfriend at karaoke bar. Wow, did I just admit that? How pitiful.
