Sunday Movie: Morning Glory

Over the weekend I watched Morning Glory, starring Rachel McAdams, Harrison Ford, Jeff Goldblum and Diane Keaton.  Rachel McAdams was as adorable as she always is in film.  Diane Keaton was her same quirky fun self, Jeff Goldblum was hilarious with that dry sense of humor and Harrison Ford...I have to say...not his best performance.  It can definitely be classified as a chic flick.  Becky Fuller (played by Rachel McAdams) finds herself out of a job that she thought  was leading to a promotion.  She's left to salvage her career at her age old self (please).  Yet she pounds the pavement for that dream job.  Finally Jerry Barnes (Jeff Goldblum's character) with IBS network (seriously with a name like that I wondered if I should continue watching) hires her as the morning show producer for "Day Break" .  Her job is  to save a news station whose ratings are already tanking.  Lo and behold, she turns things around in a.. mostly positive way.  There were some parts of the movie that literally had me laughing out loud and others just didn't run smooth.  The serious love interest almost came out of no where.  It was introduced briefly in the beginning then before you know it they are fighting over her working all the time...I was left to wonder...hmm...when did their relationship get so serious?  Keep in mind, I did watch this movie with two children under five in the room so it's very possible I missed an important moment.  Other than that, it was a cute story line, so I say it's worth a watch.
