Every year we invite our closest friends over for a brunch, an Easter egg hunt and egg coloring. It's always a great excuse to catch up with friends we don't often get to see due to hectic schedules. I'm going to take advantage of doing this every year until they grow out of it. Literally they are going to have to tell me. Mom enough already....we're fifteen and too old to look for eggs in the bushes.
The gooooodie bags as G & A call them. Thanks to a twitter tweet by The Savvy Moms Guide I found some last minute FREE Easter printables designed by Autumn Leah Designs. Whew! That was close; wouldn't have been a party without 'em.
Time to dive into the food!! They needed lots of energy to find all those well hidden eggs..not really. I'm terrified of centipedes so it was pretty obvious where all of the eggs were. Really, do the kids care that they don't have to actually look for the eggs?? I think not...they just want the candy anyway. No centipede stings and a sugar high...everyone is happy!
Good times with great friends.
Now that is true friendship right there.
Eggs and Baskets are from Target, of course where else?! I can think of about 10 new party themes these buckets can be used for. Totally, NOT a waste of money my dear husband ;-)
Time for the hunt to begin!!
Ready, set, GO!
I hope you all have a Happy Easter!!
You totally set up a great Easter for your friends and family. Me? Just gave my kids an easter basket and said here ya go. Next year I may have to take some cues from you :) GOOD JOB btw!
